Erik Engstrom of HORSE the band fame has now departed...

Our past two weeks were productively spent, reviewing+discussing the mountains of Earth Tour footage and potential permutations.
And I'm happy to report that a concrete vision for the Earth Tour documentary has been finalized: It's going to be a frank and forthright Rock Odyssey, a raw and personal account of an endeavor that was truly revolutionary in its scope and bravery.
And on a similarly ambitious scale, the film will weigh in at 15 hours in length, dwarfing all who have come before!
Extremely excited to frontline such audacity, and will do my best to deliver progress reports which are both humorous+thrilling.
November 5th is the projected release date.

Dance Dance Revolution

These are the building blocks of a full-scale revolution in Partying.
And in several weeks time, the despotic party paradigms of yore shall crumble.
Full details of this scheme will soon be made public.
Stay tuned...

Cold Chilling With E. Engstrom

So,
for the past week, Erik Engstrom of HORSE the band fame has been visiting.
And we've been hard at work, deciding how exactly to utilize the 120+ hours of footage that I filmed during their "Earth Tour 2008", an unprecedented feat of bravery which saw us circumnavigating the globe and passing thru 45 countries in 90 days: http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=297977

A suicide mission if ever there was one...
But we survived.
And you'll soon learn why HORSE the band is without peer

Boxcar Willies!

It's been a krazee good summer so far!
Here's an brief excerpt for your viewing pleasure.
We'd just planned to do some mellow jumping.. but then the train rolled by, stopped and started reversing.. and so we had no choice but to go for it!

Why blog?

Well, after reading a book entitled "Iconoclast", I've come to realize that I am one. And via this web portal, I intend to take my iconoclastic meandering to the next level...

An iconoclast is basically a person who observes the world from a unique vantage point and isn't afraid to fully embrace this experience, relentlessly defining their existence according to this unique vision, regardless of the consequences.

The end result of such behavior is generally: loneliness, incarceration, untimely death, or revolutionary success.

And while each of those prospects holds a certain appeal, after a decade of starving artistry and limited dividends, I've re-assessed my situation.

And have begun to re-think my approach...

Privacy and anonymity are things I’ve always held dear.

And publicly promoting myself as an “artist” has never really appealed to me.

But I've come to the conclusion that entering the public realm will be necessary in order to take my projects to the next level...

Networking is not my strong suit.

And I don’t traditionally "get out” too much.

But I want to connect with people who are into my ideas and will help me bring them to life. A blog seems like a good place to start working towards this.

Just what is Gary Lachance all about?

Well, he enjoys dreaming impossible dreams and throwing himself into weird+hilarious+risky situations, documenting as much of it as possible along the way.

He has many stories to share and plenty of unusual ideas to proffer, running the gamut from new humanitarian movements to guerrilla DJing to jumping off high things.

Whether these are the meanderings of a crackpot or something slightly more inspirational remains to be seen...

In any case, it’s going to be an interesting ride and you are invited!
